Are you searching for ways to keep the kids entertained during the summer holidays? Look no further than the beautiful orchards of the National Fruit Collections at Brogdale in Faversham. Spend a day exploring our orchards and discovering new skills with our Wild Classroom: Outdoor Cooking kids’ session—a perfect blend of delicious, healthy, seasonal fun.
2 Hours (Book a time for your Wild Classroom cooking & enjoy the whole day)
Join us this summer for an adventure filled with fun, food, and fire. Get outdoors and cook over the fire with Wild Classroom, using the finest local, seasonal, and foraged ingredients. This two-hour workshop includes a tour of Brogdale’s stunning Heritage fruit collection, where you and your family can explore a vast variety of early seasonal apples, plums, damsons, and gages.
After the tour, return to the campfire to transform your freshly picked heritage fruits into culinary delights. This hands-on workshop allows you to create seasonal treats like apple crumble, pea and apple soup, and plum and blackberry cobbler—all cooked over an open fire. There will be plenty to eat and enjoy, along with the opportunity to ask any outdoor cooking questions you may have.
